Pilipinas has its own defense force, entirely land and air. All naval forces (excluding coast guard) belong to the Japanese Pilipinas Fleet, which is IDF. Pilipinas provides the bulk of land combat capabilities for the JDF. Note that these forces are under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Pilipinas, and not (in theory) controlled by the Empire of Japan at all.
